Oar House Bed and Breakfast provides commodious common rooms dedicated exclusively to you, our esteemed guests.

The Living Room has cable television with movie channels. A bar area at one end of the room has a refrigerator for your convenience and instant hot water at the sink. Here our guests will find soft drinks, a variety of teas, nuts, candies; and you may use the fridge for your personal needs. For early risers we have freshly ground, gourmet coffee as well as two daily newspapers (the Oregonian and the Wall Street Journal) available at the bar.

The Sitting Room has a gas fireplace and a 30-channel music system. If you enjoy games, the chest under the music system has a variety of choices. Also, the game table in the living room has a wonderful "Henry VIII" chess set. Outside the sitting room is a large deck where guests often enjoy their early morning coffee. It's also a great place to curl up with a book.

The stairway from the living room leads to the third floor and the ship's ladder to the Lighthouse Tower. From the cupola, guests enjoy 360-degree views of the Pacific Ocean, Yaquina Head, the local lighthouses, the picturesque Nye Beach area, the mountains, dramatic winter storms, and the most magnificent sunsets imaginable. A glass of wine in the evening or early morning coffee in the lighthouse tower is a special time. It's also a very romantic spot -- several couples have become "engaged" in the cupola!
